Well Roots Privacy Policy
We respect and are
committed to protecting your privacy. That is why we have adopted this Privacy
Policy. This Privacy Policy lets you know how your personal information is
processed and used. We promise that we will use your personal information only
in ways that are compatible with this Privacy Policy. The term
"Affiliates” as used in this Privacy Policy refers to related companies or
brands. The term Service Providers
refers to entities which meet the definition of Service Providers as defined in
the California Consumer Protection Act of 2018 ("CCPA”) Section 1798.140(v). If
any personal information is shared with Service Providers such Service Provider
may only use such information for the purpose for which it has been contracted.
We do not share or sell your personal information with unrelated third party
advertisers. The following discloses our Privacy Policy. If we decide to change
our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are
always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what
circumstances we disclose it. Please refer back to this page from time to time
to check for updates.
What information are you collecting, how are you collecting it, and what do
you use it for?
IP Addresses
Every computer
connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers that
serve as that computer's "Internet Protocol" (IP address). When a
visitor requests a page from any Web site within the Well Roots Network, our Web
servers automatically recognize that visitor's domain name and IP address. The
domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP
address from which you have accessed our site. We use this information to
examine our traffic in aggregate, and to investigate misuse of the Well Roots
Network, its users, or to cooperate with law enforcement. We may also use your IP address internally
and share it with Service Providers to improve the appearance and functionality
of the website.
What information do you collect when I purchase something?
If you are purchasing something from Well Roots we need to know your first and
last name, e-mail address, mailing address, billing address and phone number. Only the last 4 digits of your credit card
number is stored in our system. This allows us to process and fulfill your
order and to notify you of your order status. This information may also be used
by us to notify you of related products and services.
Well Roots properties use a shopping cart feature that safeguards your personal
information by using industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypted
servers. SSL codes the information transferred between you and the server,
rendering it unreadable to anyone trying to intercept the information. Wherever
Well Roots collects personal information we will include a link to this Privacy
Policy on that page.
Personal information
gathered during purchases may be shared with Affiliates or Service Providers in
order to maintain or service
accounts, provide customer service, process or fulfill orders and transactions,
verify customer information, process payments, provide financing, provide
advertising or marketing services, provide analytic services, or provide
similar services on behalf of the business or Service Provider.
What information do you collect when I register for something?
Well Roots may offer access to some services that are free but that require
registration, such as subscriptions to e-mail newsletters, announcement lists
or information about conferences and trade shows. To register for these types
of services we may need to know your e-mail address, and/or mailing address. We
may use your registration contact information to send notification of Well
Roots® products and services by e-mail and/or postal mail. We may
also share that information with our Affiliates and Service Providers if
required to perform the specific task required by the registration. Well Roots
and/or its Affiliates may send you promotional material that is related to the
topic of the service for which you registered unless you have chosen not to
receive it. We do not intend to sell, or rent your e-mail address to non-affiliate
third-party advertisers.
We may from time to
time send an e-mail announcing new Well Roots™ products and services or those
of our Affiliates. Except as stated
above, Well Roots will not send you an e-mail that you have not agreed to
receive. If you choose to supply your postal address in an online form, you may
receive mailings from our third party vendors who assist with the preparation
of our Newsletters and other Well Roots and/or Affiliate mailings, but not
non-affiliate third party advertisers. When you enter a contest or other
promotion, we may ask for your name, address, and e-mail address so we can
administer the contest and notify winners.
What are cookies?
From time to time, Well Roots, its Affiliates, or Service Providers may send a
"cookie" to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data that is
sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard
drive. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created
by other Web sites. Cookies do not damage your system. We use cookies to
identify which areas of the Well Roots Network of Web sites you have visited or

accessible. Along with our Affiliates and Service Providers, we may also use
cookies to ascertain how many times you've seen an advertisement. Along with
our Affiliates and Service Providers, we may use this information to better
personalize the content, banners, and promotions that you see on our site. You
can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings of your browser.
You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies, or allow your browser to show
you when a cookie is being sent. If you choose not to accept these cookies,
your experience at our Site and other Web sites may be diminished and some
features may not work as intended.
